＊We will assist in the acceptance of preliminary inspections and other necessary measures after the site has been selected.

The Kitakyushu Convention & Visitors Association operates and manages the Kitakyushu International Conference Center and the West Japan General Exhibition Center and can provide flexible reservation services (early booking). We can also propose venue plans and introduce set-up companies.

In conjunction with conferences and conventions, we can plan and provide excursions and banquets that will leave a lasting impression on participants.

We will propose unique venues, such as Kokura Castle, Mikuni World Stadium Kitakyushu, and the former Matsumoto Residence.

Kitakyushu Subsidy Program for Convention Organizers
Subsidy up to 15 million JPY, the highest level of subsidy in Japan!

*The amount of the subsidy is limited to 50% of total costs, up to 15 million JPY.
*The subsidy will be decided by the Kitakyushu Convention and Visitors Association based on various conditions, such as duration of the convention, the number of participants, and the
number of participants who stay in Kitakyushu, among others.
*The subsidy will be provided within the limits of the budget of the City of Kitakyushu.

Applicable conditions
1 Held in Kitakyushu
2 A total of 100 participants or more
3 A total of 50 person-nights or more stayed in Kitakyushu

Special Support Menu for Infectious Diseases Control
Subsidy up to 300,000 JPY

Applicable conditions
1 The “Subsidy Program for Convention Organizers” must be obtained first.
2 Infectious disease control measures should be based on government guidelines or guidelines created by relevant organizations in each industry as applies to conventions, conferences, etc..

Applicable period
April 1,2021 – March 31,2023
(Conventions or conferences are required to be held within the period above to apply for this special support menu.)

Eligible cost (e.g.)
・Cost to purchase facemasks, face-shields and goods for the purpose of disinfection
・Cost to rent thermal cameras and thermometers
・Venue fees added or changed to secure a venue with a capacity of at least twice the number of participants
・Outsourcing expenses for venue disinfection
・Cost to PCR, antigen, antibody and other tests
・Personnel costs for infectious disease control…etc.

Subsidy up to 200,000 JPY

Applicable conditions
1 The “Subsidy Program for Convention Organizers” must be obtained first.
2 The conference will be held both physically and online.

・Cost of equipment rental and communication lines for online distribution.
・System usage fees and labor costs for online distribution

*Convention bags, city maps and brochures will be provided free of charge.
*We can arrange for a “MICE Supporter” to support your conference or convention. In addition to assisting at the reception desk and venue and introducing Japanese culture, they can also provide language support in English for participants from overseas.
